Responsibilities
In order to deliver and sustain the Enterprise IAM Modernization program (Public Secure, OPS Secure, BPS Secure), the Identity and Access Management Branch requires the two IAM Solutioners to:
1. Provide full SDLC support to the migration of users and business applications from the legacy IAM services (GO PKI, GO Secure and ONe-key) to their modernized equivalents by:
1.1 Developing technical requirements in response to business requirements;
1.2 Creating technical designs that favour use of vanilla COTS over custom applications.
1.3 Supporting and informing the development of architectural artefacts;
1.4 Developing, testing, and deploying programmatic constructs (e.g. scripts, queries, views, reports, procedures);
1.5 Tuning service components;
1.6 Maintaining service components (e.g. applying/testing patches);
1.7 Triaging, analysing, and resolving incidents related to both legacy and modernized IAM Services;
1.8 Identifying, analysing, and resolving problems related to both legacy and modernized IAM Services;
1.9 Assessing the impacts of changes on both legacy and modernized IAM Services including changes raised by clients and service providers (e.g. ITS, CompuCom, Telus); and
1.10 Documenting maintenance and support requirements and procedures.
2. Support clients across the OPS and BPS to migrate their business applications from the legacy IAM Services to their modernized equivalents by:
2.1 Analysing clients’ technical requirements, designing approaches/solutions;
2.2 Providing full SDLC support;
2.3 Analysing and resolving problems encountered during integration/migration; and
2.4 Developing utilities, scripts, applets, and reports to facilitate and automate the integration/migration experience.
3. Supporting the migration to modernized IAM Services (eg: Public Secure, OPS/BPS Secure) by:
3.1 Building sandbox, proof-of-concept, and development environments;
3.2 Testing (e.g. regression, performance) application components, including analysing the root cause of breaks associated with later version of the technology stack;
3.3 Re mediating broken application components, including developing, testing, and deploying programmatic constructs (e.g. scripts, queries, views, reports, procedures); and
3.4 Determining which custom application components can be supplanted by functionality in a later version or decommissioned altogether; and
3.5 Documenting maintenance and support requirements and procedures.
4. Provide on-call support for the legacy IAM Services' production and non-production environments (e.g. development, UAT, and production verification) on a 24x7 basis, especially during migration windows to modernized services.
4.1 Participate in incident management as an incident coordinator, incident analyst, or tier-2/3 SME.
4.2 Participate in change management as a change coordinator, change analyst or application SME.
5. Foster a team culture of excellence and innovation, including:
5.1 Developing plans for the knowledge and skills transfer to OPS employees, including activities or tests to demonstrate the successful transfer of knowledge and attainment of required skills. OPS employees include IT Source People Placement Service;
5.2 Developing plans for the transition of sustainment functions to OPS employees;
Transferring knowledge to OPS employees
Qualifications
"Leadership in Identity and Access Management (Entrust and OIAM): 10+ years of experience with providing development support for COTS based identity and access Management systems including the following:At least 4 years of experience related to Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite Plus. At least 4 years of experience related to Entrust PKI products and Entrust Access Products.At least 4 years of experience related to implementations with over 10,000 registered users.
Developing and Sustaining Large Applications: 10+ years of experience with designing, developing, deploying, and sustaining large application implementations based on the following technology products:Web Tier: Windows Internet Information Server (IIS), IBM HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat.App Tier: IBM WebSphere, Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition DB Tier: Oracle database v11g and v12.O/S: Solaris, Windows, AIX and Linux.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with ITIL processes such as Service Level Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, and Capacity
Management.Problem Solving: 10+ years of experience with triaging, analyzing, diagnosing (a.k.a troubleshooting), evaluating options, and resolving application problems including the following:At least 4 years of experience related to Oracle Identity and Access Management Suite Plus.At least 4 years of experience related to Entrust security products.At least 4 years related to troubleshooting problems related to non-production environments.At least 4 years related to identity and access management solutions.
Quality Control and Assurance:10+ years of experience with quality control and assurance methodologies and practices as applied to the implementation of applications with over 10,000 users.Experience with Change Management and Release Management as processes supporting the implementation of large applications.Experience with automated testing and development tools (e.g. Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), HP Quality Centre (QC ALM), LoadRunner)."
