Responsibilities
The Senior Specialized IT Consultant will be required to deliver stakeholder engagement and communication as follows:
· Provide subject matter expertise, knowledge and advice on assessment coding, assessment practices and processes regarding the OCAN, interRAI ChYMH and interRAI CMH.
· Provide senior level expertise and advice regarding clinical and integration issues to ensure that the standards, tools, and processes supporting these assessments remain relevant to the sectors and that they align to strategic initiatives.
· Lead and collaborate on the OCAN Community of interest working group to support the use of OCAN in the community mental health sector by providing subject matter expertise, knowledge and advice on assessment coding, assessment practices and processes.
· Provide operational support to organizations upgrading to the latest version of the OCAN, and/or implementing interRAI ChYMH or interRAI CMH and ensure the continued use of common assessment standards, benefits of sharing of common assessment data, service level objectives and industry best practices are met.
· Document operational processes to ensure adequate support for implemented HSPs.
· Provide clinical expertise on assessment standards, strategic advice, and support to ensure effective governance, risk management and mitigation strategies and recommended approaches and plans are in place to support operational success.
· Conduct and facilitate training sessions in a variety of formats and aid HSPs on reporting, data quality, the use of assessment tools and outcomes and other key deliverables.
· Support the use of industry best practices, processes and policies that are required to maintain and support assessment standards (i.e., privacy and security requirements, change management, incident, and problem management).
· Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, HSPs and third-party vendors to ensure coordinated and effective communications that are aligned with Ministry and government priorities.
· Work with appropriate governance structures to review and discuss issues, seek approval on new requests and to provide reports related to project status and other key deliverables.
· Provide input and recommendations to current and future initiatives, support other operational and transactional activities, and perform other duties to support the team, as required; and
· Support data initiatives related to Mental health and addictions
Qualifications
Business Knowledge
· Extensive knowledge and experience working with the OCAN and other community mental health assessments (interRAI ChYMH and interRAI CMH) and its application specifically in the Community Mental Health & Addictions and other community care sectors
· Demonstrated experience with implementation methodologies and processes related to the community mental health & addictions
· Understanding of and or experience with the maintenance of information standards involving multiple stakeholders
Stakeholder Relationship Management
· Superior consultation, negotiation, and consensus building skills to work collaboratively and build consensus with internal and external stakeholders and business partners
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, exceptional judgement, political acuity and demonstrated ability to manage expectations and resolve major obstacles and conflicts.
Project / Program Management
· Proven experience in managing large and complex program and projects with a demonstrated track record of delivering successful business outcomes
