Responsibilities
· Requirement analysis – includes review of documentation, user manuals, interviewing / joining requirements workshops etc.
· Creation of detailed and comprehensive test strategies, plans, schedules, and test cases
· Creation / review of user acceptance test cases based on the test scenarios defined
· Coordination of the full defect lifecycle from discovery and triage through to documentation, communication, resolution, and verification
· Executes tests (functional and regression) manually or using automated tools to compare results with requirements, to verify test requirements, to identify defects, and to ensure compliance (e.g., systems, functionality, etc.)
· Executes and validates test set-up to ensure the environment is ready for testing.
· Identifies and provides initial analysis to develop and implement appropriate actions.
· Prepare documentation and present progress reports to clients
· Documents test results to support the efficient resolution of problems and to capture defect data.
· Communicates test results with others (e.g., management, development teams, business users, etc.) to provide updates (e.g., estimated project end date, defects, functionality, etc.).
· Enters data in the defect management tool to report variances from expected results.
· Verifies defects are fixed to ensure expected results are met.
· Reviews project schedules to ensure timely test execution within established timeframe.
· Knowledge and some understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices
Qualifications
Business Analyst and Quality Assurance Experience:
Senior System Tester/Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience in requirement gathering, developing business requirement documents, process maps, planning, organizing and implementing testing efforts.
Experience with manual functional and non-functional, UAT and AODA Testing
Experience leading and conducting business analysis for business projects to assess clients' business problems or opportunities, document the technical business requirements to meet the functional requirements.
Experience developing high-level cost estimates based on the scope and timelines.
Knowledge of application development methodologies, techniques and methods.
Knowledge using tools to support Web Accessibility testing in support of AODA legislation
Knowledge and experience working in Agile-Scrum environment, using standard and DevOps processes and tools
Cross Training to project and team members
Business Analysis and Quality Assurance Experience:
Analysis and design methodology, techniques; structured testing
Experience on a medium sized project as a business analyst or functional consultant
Knowledge and experience with OpenText Content Suite and other OpenText Products.
Knowledge of the systems development cycle (SDLC), software test life cycle (STLC), project management.
Experience Enterprise business architectural concepts in order to ensure that recommended technologies are consistent.
Experience developing business cases from start to finish
Service delivery management, portfolio, program/project management and resource management to manage the business analysis to clients and provide recommendations on clients' I&IT business and infrastructure needs.
Documenting and Analysis of business requirements and functional designs
Knowledge of Risk and evidence-based testing
Analysis of business rules. Creation of the test cases, traceability matrix
Defining the expected results
Creation of test data, test scenarios and test user accounts
Creation of database queries to select test data and ensure database integrity
Experience in entry, exit and acceptance testing criteria
