Responsibilities
Assess current systems and processes, develop ways to improve them.
Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
Working closely with CYSSC dev-ops teams, define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management.
Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools.
Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
Understand the needs of stakeholders and convey this to developers.
Work with developers and other IT colleagues to oversee code releases.
Write specifications documents.
Test and examine code written by other and analyse the results.
Identify technical problems and develop software update and “fixes”.
Plan out or support the planning of the project phases, by being involved in project management decisions.
Qualifications
3 to 5+ years
Knowledge of tools and technologies: version control, continuous integration servers, configuration management, containers and deployment automation; knowledgeable of infrastructure orchestration, testing and cloud quality tools, monitoring and analytics, and network protocols.
Solid cloud computing skills, database management and network management.
Coding and scripting skills; knowledgeable of Node.js and programming languages like Java, Javascript, Ruby, Shell, Bash PHP, Pearl, Python.
Ability to automate a full DevOps pipeline; understand infrastructure and configurations, CI/CD pipelines, app performance monitoring
Automation testing skills; proficient in testing tools, such as Puppet, Chef and Docker; know how to execute tests for an entire DevOps automation pipeline as well as how to integrate Jenkins with Selenium.
DevSecOps skills to include code analysis, change management, threat investigation, security training and vulnerability assessment.
Familiar with container-related tools to do their job effectively. A few examples include Docker Engine, LXC, container registries, Docker Swarm, systemd-nspawn and Kubernetes.
