Responsibilities
• Cultivating strategic partnerships with distributors, and contractors and developing a strong
presence with major end-users will be instrumental for success as well as the ability to
secure specifications at the engineering level. These relationships are paramount as they
will be a conduit for the voice of the customer which is the foundation of our business
• Submit innovative ideas to build new products that would contribute to our industry and
our customers.
• Increase brand awareness in the engineering community at industry functions such
as tradeshows, seminars, and association meetings
• Help develop education, case studies, training, and technical material for municipal
products and present related presentations for engineers and relevant partners
• Assist the local engineering community with the development of codes and standards,
product certification letters and deflection calculations to support products.
• Track upcoming projects in and around Northern AB to assist with forecasting and
industry awareness.
• Attend weekly/monthly sales meetings to provide Industry awareness and updates on
projects and strategies
• Respond to product and service complaint reports within 24 hours of notification.
• Collaborate with other Regional Sales Representatives for insight on changes to
codes and standards and new products entering the industry
Qualifications
• Completion of a University Degree or Diploma in Business or Engineering an asset
• Minimum of 2 years of successful experience in sales and marketing activities within the
construction or industrial industries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as Customer Relationship
Management (CRM) systems
• A strong mechanical proficiency and understanding of value-selling Sales Representative – Municipal, Northern Alberta
• Proven excellent communication and presentation skills
• The ability to work independently and as a team player with strong self-motivation
• Willingness for overnight travel.
