Our valued Telecom client is currently seeking on a full-time permanent basis a Salesforce CPQ Solution Specialist to assist their Business Applications team within Corporate IT to help architect, design, implement and launch a new CPQ process strategy using Salesforce and other potential CPQ tools and frameworks.

Role Overview:

The CPQ Solution Specialist is a self-motivated, detail-oriented person experienced in working with corporate sales, services and marketing teams. Responsibilities will include improving the current CPQ process and technology infrastructure, optimizing business operations, and setting direction and approach for integrating information applications and processes.

This role requires long term thinking, ability to influence strategic decision making around technology, process, and culture. The successful candidate will have excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

The successful candidate will be versed in IT CPQ tools and processes that support and enhance the efficiency of a global sales & services teams including account managers, marketing staff, and sales engineers.

Location: Remote in either Ottawa or Montreal.

Major Responsibilities

-Lead decision making on how technology can be used to solve a given business problem
-Create effective solutions through an understanding of business needs and technology capabilities
-Influence decisions on which framework, platform, or technology stack can be used to create a solution.
-Align solutions with business goals while managing expectations related to scope of work
-Suggest best practice ideas to reduce costs & risks in IT and business leadership
-Actively listen to client problems and needs to implement that information when creating solution plans-
-Collaborate with project managers and other staff members to develop budgets and timelines for solutions


Required Technical/Soft Skills & Experience

- SFDC CPQ architecture experience.
- CPQ process design experience
- Multiple Salesforce platform certifications
- Experience working with Sales Engineers & understanding configuration tools
- Experience with senior roles in Salesforce implementation projects
- Experience with multiple project deliveries using Salesforce platform solutions
- Experience integrating Salesforce with various other platforms using different technologies
- Strong knowledge of latest Salesforce development and deployment practices including Lightning, LWC and bitbucket
- Strong business processes, process documentation and process improvement skills
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in a simple manner

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or related field preferred

Candidate must have minimum 5 years’ experience working with IT and business teams.
