We are currently seeking a SCADA engineer with a background in the designing of SCADA Systems with DNP3 in the electrical and/or instrumentation controls of high-voltage substations to join the project design team and provide effective SCADA technical input, review technical drawings and complete the SCADA design of facilities.

Responsibilities

- Review technical drawings & specifications to ensure each project meets acceptable standards for operability, functionality, maintainability, reliability, durability and safety.
- SCADA design of facilities including substation drawings,
- Develop SCADA configuration work plans and prepare supervisory change notice requests, perform device configuration and installation of configuration files, and provide technical support during construction to the site personnel completing commissioning activities.
- Deliver detailed designs that are in compliance with the electrical code and Identify material and equipment required to complete projects while maintaining good relationships with the project management personnel and contractors through the execution of projects.

Qualifications

- Professional Engineer with (APEGA)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Telecommunication or Computer Engineering or Technologist Diploma in Electrical with P.L. (Eng.) status.

This is a permanent position located in Calgary, travelling will be required approximately 75% of the time.
