Security Project Manager x 2

- Extensive experience with Microsoft core cyber security software applications. In addition, proven experience implementing Security Governance and Management in addition to Office 365 implementations.

Location: Mainly remote but potential for occasional onsite at the office located in the GTA

Duration: 12 months contract to start


EXPERIENCE

Experience Technical Skills:
 Minimum 10 years related work experience managing IT projects
 Minimum 5 years of project management experience in network, security and
infrastructure projects
 Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
 Demonstrated ability to function as a fully accountable project manager
 Must have excellent knowledge of the principles and practices of project
management and demonstrated ability in monitoring, reviewing and reporting
on major projects
 Experience with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
 Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft software (Visio, PowerPoint, MS
Project, Word, Excel, etc.) and Project Management tools and processes.

Soft Skills:
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills including senior level
briefings, reports and presentations.
 Excellent team building skills, listening, coaching, group facilitation and conflict
resolution skills
 Extensive knowledge in business systems development and requirement analysis.
 Experience leading system integration projects.
 Strong presentation, writing, and/or training skills

Responsibilities
The Services:
 Plan, Design, and Implement key projects under the client’s Security Program
 Manage project partnerships with external vendors, contractors, service providers, Senior Management teams, and other internal and external stakeholders.
 Prepare project plans by producing project work breakdown structures, project charter & schedules and by ensuring implementation, contingency, risk management, communications, quality assurance & staffing plans are completed.
 Ensure stakeholder signoff / approval is obtained at each step of Project Management Life Cycle.
 Effectively manage the allocation of project funds dedicated to the delivery of assigned projects, and ensuring cost criteria is met.
 Perform project control / tracking / reporting by ensuring that day-to-day management of project working groups, including assigned staff is conducted
 Schedule and conduct project meetings including technical team, working groups, steering committee.
 Ensure appropriate project governance is in place
 Engage in quality assurance reviews of projects
 Participates in project meetings. Prepares status updates, issues and risks reports for project status update meetings when required
 Responsible for capturing and following up on issues, risks, actions and decisions; escalating to PMO as required


Qualifications
MANDATORY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Education
Your proposed candidate carries a degree in Information Technology, Engineering,
or Computer Science, with an emphasis on program and project management,
network & infrastructure or an equivalent combination of education, training, and
experience.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Technical Skills:
 Previous must have project management experience in implementing following
projects:
o Security governance and Management, Office 365 Implementation
including ATP and O365 Controls, Migration of data and mailboxes to
cloud, Identity and Access management (MFA enhancements), PAM
[CyberArk], SIEM, Business Continuity planning, Disaster Recovery
Planning
 Prior experience of implementing iOT related projects, “Network Access”,
“Infrastructure and Network Build and Deploy” will be an added advantage
 Technical Knowledge on implementing MS Products, Azure Active Directory,
Cloud Services (SaaS, PaaS), Backup and Recovery, Network and
Infrastructure, Windows, Linux will be an added advantage.
 Considerable experience in consulting and building credibility and strong
relationships at all levels in an organization, with experience gaining buy-in and
support on new approaches, initiatives and implementation of best practice
 Experience with IT Operationalization of new technology
 ITIL certification
 Experience with projects in public sector and/or unionized environments

Soft Skills:
 Excellent organizational and project management skills
 High energy, strong work ethic and positive attitude
