Attention Senior Accountants! Are you looking for a fresh start in 2020? Are you seeking to join an established organization with stability? If so, this may be the opportunity for you!

Our client is an industry leader in the Canadian market and in need of a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. The role will be reporting to the Controller, your responsibilities and duties will include the following:

Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly/year-end financial statements
• Perform monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
• Generate monthly job costing and construction accounting reports
• Perform fixed asset accounting and maintain depreciation schedules to ensure proper accounting for purchases/disposals
• Liaise with external auditors and support yearly audit
• Participate in process improvement initiatives
• Support physical inventory counts
• Ad-hoc assignments as requested

Qualifications
• CPA, CA, CMA, CGA (or close to completion)
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role (Construction or Manufacturing industry would be preferred)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
• Self-starter with strong communication skills and ability to deliver on deadlines
• Comfortable with pivot tables and lookup functions in Microsoft Excel
• Experience using Quickbooks and Sage 300
