This is a 6 month engagement. There are several projects with deadlines, this will require the chosen candidates to integrate into the company and understand the business quickly. The organization is also undergoing a major internal control and compliance upgrade project in which the controller will be heavily involved.

Responsibilities
- The candidate must have familiarity with full cycle accounting.
- Keeping track of business finances.
- Preparing financial statements on a monthly basis.
- Responsible for cashflow management
- Preparing working documents for year-end audits.
- Complete preparation of expenditure reports
- Prime suggestions for cost-cutting in the company.
- Internal control enhancements
- Development of accounting software.
- Additional accounting-related tasks as directed by management
Qualifications
- 5-year accounting cycle (required)
- Self-driven with a knack for entrepreneurship
- Superior precision and attention to detail
- Excellent professional judgement and problem-solving skills
- Capacity to comprehend companies that operate in various industries and the effects of loss occurrences
- Expertise in Excel and Word
- The capacity to function both independently and as a model team member
- Capacity to adhere to deadlines
Summary
Compensation: 50/hour depending on experience
Duration: 6 months
Location: Toronto - Work from home 2x a week
