Responsibilities
Senior Accounts Payable Specialist - Responsibilities:
• Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying,
and reconciling invoices.
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to
balances.
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense
reports, recording entries.
• Pays vendors by verifying tax id numbers, scheduling & preparing checks, and
resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and
documentation.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related
transactions.
• Maintains historical records by saving as PDF and filing documents.
• Resolve internal and external AP queries.
• Frequent scheduling and follow-up of tasks with the AP team members.
• Reporting of anomalies to AP Manager.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
Qualifications
• Tracking expenses
• Attention to detail
• Thoroughness
• Organization
• Analyzing information
• DEC, or relevant experience
• Previous accounts payable experience (3+ years)
• Great communication skills
• Full accounts Payable experience
• Construction experience is a plus
