Responsibilities
As a Senior Architect at our client, you will work on a range of products and problem spaces, across a range of teams and company domains to design/build technology to support the logistics business team, with cloud computing cost effectiveness
A critical thinking, curious mindset is a must have to generate solutions that are scalable, aligning with architecture principles and meet the needs of our business. You should demonstrate high proficiency in architecting microservices and champion the latest and greatest AWS cloud concepts in reliability.
A team-based mindset, able to jump into areas that need extra attention to determine a path forward for the team. You will have proven proficiency understanding and architecting RDS solutions, ie SQL, Postgres, Mongo etc. Candidate has track record in architecting disaster recovery solutions, cross regional replications and blue-green deployments
- Ability to communicate with different level of stakeholders, and will often be a champion of several initiatives that you are responsible for completing and need to be able to communicate with different levels of roles
- Advocate for the correct design, looking at enterprise level long term direction
- Communicate with the product team to understand requirements and break user stories down into a design that the engineers can build, guiding them through the initial process and providing expertise and coaching the technical team
- Experience with engaging in high level high architecture reviews, i.e. ARB and SARB
- Ability to build a strategy document and recommendations on integration platform or API integration, with a strong reasoning to suggest why one is better than the other and/or propose integration architecture
- Proven experience with multiple cloud platform integrations (ie AWS---GCP) in design, optimization, and implementation of multiple SaaS provided that hosts critical business functionalities in logistics
Qualifications
- Experience with application observability, system-level design, performance
- Proven ability to coach, mentor and teach junior team members
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience in design and delivery of complex, multi-stream programs and projects, including preparation of project charters, delivery plans and status updates, facilitation of workshops and cross-functional meetings and coordination of change and training efforts
- Ability to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead team in resolving complex issues in a fast pace and challenging environment
- Familiarity with cloud migration tools and strategies, defining migration roadmaps as well as integration strategies and patterns
- Ability to comprehend work cohesively with multiple enterprise architects, adhering to enterprise architectural guardrails and guidelines, defined and published in the Architecture Review Board (ARB)
- Comprehend the essentialities of Change Management, be an advocate for changes proposed by the Change Advisory Board (CAB)
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional partners, subject matter experts, business users and technology partners to solve complex business problems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multiple cross functional teams.
- Ability to create alignment and reach consensus
- Ability to clearly communicate objectives and give clear direction to achieve deliverables
- Ability to understand financial impacts on long range plans and make financially sound recommendations to leadership
- Demonstrated ability in operational problem solving and long-range planning and problem solving
- Flexible hours to accommodate meetings with different time zones
