Summary: The ideal candidate will have strong business data and numeric analysis and formation skills. Ability to decompose complex numeric data analysis and convey the relevant business implications to internal or external stakeholders in the context of financial or compliance paradigms is crucial. The Business Analyst will practice billing reporting adherence and assurance alignment to operational standards set forth by Our client corporate Internal Auditing and Business Process Optimization Offices.
The Business Analyst develops the reporting requirements used for formal billing reporting and manages billing program delivery, fiscal adherence and sustainment. It is important that the On Demand billing reporting programs are accurate to ensure that Our client realizes all appropriate revenue entitlements and assures fiscal and contractual compliance as a publicly traded entity. This position is a critical operational component governing NOD billing reporting documented processes congruent to SOX compliance controls and guidelines. This position is essential in assuring deficiency avoidance and the achievement of corporate auditing certifications and standards. This position will also perform complex performance metrics and billing metrics reporting and analysis
This position will work closely with the functional stakeholders and Sr. Management on multiple simultaneous deliverables with dynamic schedules. Stakeholders include Reporting, Finance, Customer Success Manager, Quality Assurance, Internal Compliance and Auditing, PMO, Professional Services, Network Services & Security, Order Management, Project Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Collections.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with Finance, PS Technical Managers, IT and Business Engagement Managers to understand NOB Applications and each customer’s goals & business requirements and convert that into reporting requirements.
• Play a key role in billing program delivery and sustainment SDLC work streams which includes billing project mgmt,
requirements, design, delivery, sustainment and analytics.
• Work closely with IT to get access to data source and perform data analytics to produce billing and performance metrics
• Support SLA Calculation every month
• Prepare requirements documentation, use cases, and generate detailed specifications to document customer- specific as well as internal billing reporting functional requirements.
• Support team leader with corporate and external SOX compliance tasks via quarterly NOD ‘Test of One’ audit
exercises. Support SOX billing compliance validation and the corresponding change management entry compliance for the assigned accounts.
• Act as a liaison between business and development group. Interface with development team to clarify and refine
requirements. Interact with QA team to review test plans and/or test criteria.
• Execute post-production validation on deployed applications releases and prepare billing user guides and/or documentation as required.
• Provide performance data insights and support for financial, operational reporting. Provide critical data mining
support to help rationalize performance behaviors as required.
• Monitor billing data integrity by performing billing application, product performance analysis and data integrity checks. Analyze and support billing issues through investigation to resolution.
• Generate weekly and monthly scorecards displaying application and platform performance metrics to Finance,
Business and Operational Management. Provide ad hoc on-demand BAU billing reporting data support to internal account management stakeholders.
• Act as Billing SME in the maintenance and ongoing development of NOD product sets, as needed.
• Support the auditing and testing of controls initiatives working within small, specialized team and at times in extended, broader temporary and special project teams.
• Support due diligence on acquisition targets as required.
Qualifications
Number of Years of Work Experience: 4-5+ years of experience in supporting Management Information System and Data Analysis and Reporting
Required Skills:
•4-5+ years Management Information Systems business systems support, data analysis, reporting, accounting and/or specialized business technology or professional services delivery.
Attention to details with proven methodical problem-solving success with financial or data analytics
•Foundational understanding of network, systems, and application operations and controls.
•The ability to learn new technologies and concepts so as to construct control frameworks and apply applicable controls.
•Excellent team work, collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) a must.
•Strong data analysis skills, expert user of Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Word
•Experience writing requirements documents and detailed specifications
•SQL scripting skills and database knowledge are required.
•Proven experience in a customer-facing role, presenting to executive management
•Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding, changing environment
•Domestic and international may be travel required.
Preferred Skills:
SOX compliance, IT 404 controls and auditing experience
Experience with SDLC and IT delivery organizations preferred.
Education: Bachelors of Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance and/or Accounting preferred (4-5+years practice and related exp.)
