Responsibilities
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
• Contributing to the ongoing implementation of a new risk system.
• Working with investment data team to source terms and conditions data for our clients risk system implementation project.
• You will assist in drafting the model specifications requirements for the risk system. As such, this includes technical specifications and security terms and conditions.
• Conduct ad-hoc testing of risk models to determine the reasonability of inputs.
• Working on internal and external systems to source required risk model input datasets.
• Support the development of our risk system data quality and governance initiatives.
• Assist in the creation, execution and documentation of test cases.
• Support the team in the creation of new analytical frameworks.

Qualifications
Requirements:
• University degree in a quantitative discipline such as Math, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• A good knowledge of capital markets. This includes an understanding of financial instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives), exchanges and trading.
• Strong understanding of Risk concepts such as Value at Risk (VaR), and sensitivities such as delta, cs01, dvo1.
• Experience with MS Excel, MS Word and SQL, XML, RML.
• Experience using 3rd party systems such as MSCI BarraOne, MSCI Risk Manager and Bloomberg is an asset.
• Has experience writing technical specification requirements.
• Knowledge of real estate, infrastructure and Private Equity assets and their valuation.
• Hands-on experience working with large datasets using numerical computing tools, with a desire to understand business risks through data
• Ability to understand and apply complex financial and statistical principles and methods
• Ability to build effective relationships internally and externally
• Has exceptional communication skills
• Is eager to learn and has strong intellectual curiosity
