Responsibilities
• Actively participating with internal stakeholders and consolidating results to deliver sourcing
recommendations for alternate suppliers and parts.
• Preparing and placing purchase orders for materials, indirect goods and services. Entering all
purchase orders into the ERP system.
• Establishing and following up on delivery schedules, monitoring progress, and contacting
suppliers to solve problems and ensure continuity of supply.
• Actively participating with multi-disciplinary teams to find sustainable, scalable, and cost-efficient
solutions in material supply.
• Developing sourcing and negotiation strategies and achieve sustainable relationships with
suppliers.
• Driving cost reduction through competitive bidding, sourcing new suppliers, DFM, Cost Modeling
and Should cost analysis.
Qualifications
• 8 – 10 years’ experience in purchasing, ideally in a manufacturing/machining environment.
• A degree/diploma in a business or engineering related discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and mechanical drawings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic.
• Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to organize information.
• Demonstrated negotiation and supply risk skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS office applications.
• Practical experience with an ERP system would be an asset.
• Bilingual or Multilingual communication skills are beneficial (English, Spanish, Mandarin).
