Responsibilities
- Coordination with Customs team for releases, rates, invoicing, duties, CBSA, clients and more
- Ensure timely and accurate daily compliance with customs requirements
- Ensure compliance with CBSA / government requirements that shipments can cross the border
- Provide required documentation to support the collection of duties
- Conduct compliance audits on documents (HS classifications, duties) prior to payments
- Managing exceptions of missing data and certificates
- Provide regular updates on flow, compliance opportunities, potential for risks, and more
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years in Customs Brokerage
- CCS or CTCS certifications is an asset
- Strong understanding of HS Codes, Tariff Classification, Rules and Regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Detail oriented and possess excellent organization skills with the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Bilingualism is a must
