Are you an experienced technical leader? Are you a motivated individual who can tackle challenging problems and develop new technologies? We are looking for a C++ Engineer to join the Distributed Data and Storage Lab team based in Markham, Ontario! Our ideal candidates should have significant knowledge and experience in distributed database management systems.


what does your day look like?

* Research and development of distributed, highly available database management system, with innovation

* Work with a team of architects and engineers to develop proof-of-concept systems and components


Do you have the right qualifications?

Minimum Qualifications

* At least 3 years of experience in complex software projects with one of the following languages: C, C++

* Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

* Experience in working with distributed database management systems, Microsoft SQL Azure/Aws RDS Aurora/Oracle RAC/IBM Db2 pureScale

* Experience with design and development of a distributed database, or storage system, or file system, or cache system

* Initiative and innovative

* Mentor and coach junior colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with RDS/NoSQL kernel a plus

* Experience with distributed file system a plus

* Experience in TCP/IP and RDMA a plus

* Experience in open source community
