Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor and train staff.
- Perform project management and coordination duties to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Technical review and/or preparation of technical reports for a variety of projects with a focus on providing cost effective and sustainable solutions
- Senior review and/or preparation of various permits and regulatory approval applications, including PTTWs, EASRs and ECAs.
- Coordinate, manage and review field work and data analysis for various hydrogeological assessments.
- Procurement of work through preparation of proposals and participation in business development activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Geology/Hydrogeology, Earth Sciences or Water Resources Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar role;
- P.Eng or P.Geo
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements (Ontario Water Resources Act, Environmental Protection Act and other applicable federal and provincial acts, regulations, and guidelines) and general engineering / hydrogeological practices and processes
- Knowledge of construction dewatering
- Knowledge of groundwater and surface water interactions
- Knowledge of soil and bedrock classification
- Experience completing hydraulic conductivity tests and estimating hydraulic conductivity
- Experience mapping groundwater flow direction and calculating groundwater gradients (vertical and horizontal)
