Responsibilities
• Plan and coordinate all payroll activities accurately and on time
• Manage a team of 2 managers and 20 unionized employees, set goals, and monitor performance
• Analyze performance indicators and workload trends, revise processes, and optimize efficiency
• Serve as a resource for payroll-related HR issues, and participate in annual projects and payroll system changes
• Develop improvement plans and lead service quality and efficiency transformations
• Apply governance rules and business processes to operational decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, finance or business administration.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll and employee services, including 5+ years in a - - management role in a unionized environment.
- Excellent knowledge of payroll systems and MS Office, with SAP expertise an asset.
Strong abilities
- Ability to communicate fluently in French and English with stakeholders across Canada.
