Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the next generation firewalls for IT and OT environments
• Participate in technical discussions with relevant IT and business teams to understand requirements and have the ability to review,
understand current system architecture, design and provide recommendations to fulfil business requirements by complying with
security requirements
• Assist in identifying problems and opportunities for improvement of cyber security systems or processes, including security

• Assist in reviewing and Implementing firewall requests from cross functional team.
• Assist in managing day to day operations related to firewall governance and orchestration solutions and contribute to it’s maturity

• Audit, maintain documentation of current Firewall policies and clean up stale rules periodically
• Participate in day to day troubleshooting and provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for the major incidents.
• Implement changes on Firewalls following established change management process
• Provide support for Incident Response (IR) investigation when analysis confirms an actionable incident
• Identify actionable indicators of compromise through analysis of network forensic data
• Research and analyze events to determine classification, correlation, and root cause of operational issues
• Keep up to date with emerging threat tactics, techniques and procedures used by malicious cyber actors, recommend actionable
remediation steps and implement relevant security controls to address risks by working with IT stakeholders
• Applies and ensures compliance with all appropriate security standards and adherence to regulatory access management controls

Summary
Reporting to the Manager, IT Security Architecture and Ops, the Contractor, IT Technical Consultant will assist in design, configuration,
maintenance of Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW) related infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with IT Security
Architecture and Ops teams; as a business enabler and service provider, the Contractor IT Technical Consultant will assist in the
identification of effective solutions to meet the goals of the department and recommend business and technical process redesigns which
maximize efficiencies and align with operational goals for the organization.
