Are you a senior payroll professional with previous experience within for a large corporate environment? Have you been responsible for supporting payroll activities for both US and Canadian payroll? Are you an expert with ADP GlobalView and/or SAP HCM (SAP HR)?If so we have an excellent opportunity for you.

We are currently looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to support our client, a leading Canadian software development company. In this role you will be required to work at least 3 days/week out of their Waterloo office, with the other two days in either Waterloo or Richmond Hill (transportation to Waterloo provided). You will work full time hours on an 8 month assignment and earn a rate competitive within the industry. As a Senior Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the processing of US and Canadian payroll, assisting in reporting tasks, and working on projects as assigned. This will include but not be limited to:

1. Process payrolls as required
2. Assist with reporting requests/ audit support
3. Document processes and SOP’s
4. Assist in Year End activities
5. Work with Team members to implement recommendations, mitigating any future challenge.

* Required to work at least 3 days/week out of their Waterloo office, with the other two days in either the Waterloo or Richmond Hill office (transportation from Richmond Hill office to Waterloo offices available)*

• 6-9 years of mostly relevant experience in payroll. Highly developed professional/technical skills are needed to perform the job
• Experience with ADP GlobalView and SAP HCM (SAP HR) are required, along with strong MS Excel skills (Vlookups, PivotTables)
• Experience with ADP ezLabour is an asset
• US Payroll Experience required
• Experience in payroll analysis (issues), solution documentation and subsequent implementation.
• Experience in year end activities
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills.
• Flexible and receptive to change.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment
