The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing energy storage products. Along with designing storage power converters, the Sr. Power Electronics Engineer will work on conducting trade-off studies among various power conversion architectures, leading product prototyping and test, and assisting with product industrialization.

Responsibilities
-Responsible for power converter hardware design, topology trade-off studies, and prototyping.
-Conduct modeling and simulation of power converters to speed up design cycles.
-Be on the forefront of technology including identification and adoption of latest power semiconductor and control trends.
-Lead rapid product turn-around from concept through prototyping.
Qualifications
-Master’s degree with 6+ years’ experience or Phd (preferred) with 4+ years’ experience
-Strong background in power electronics and control
-Demonstrated experience in hardware development of solar/storage power converters
-Versatility with various modeling and simulation tools – MATLAB, Python, PLECS, etc
-Deep knowledge on various modulation control schemes for single phase and three phase power converter topologies including multilevel inverters and LLC resonant converters
-Excellent knowledge in magnetics design and powertrain design for inverters and DC-DC converters
-Well versed in EMI/EMC mitigation and test strategies
-Basic knowledge of solar/storage codes and standards (NEC/NFPA, UL1741SA, CA Rule 21, NEM 2.0, IEEE 1547-2018, HECO SRD 1.1, AS/NZS 4777.2:2015)
-Excellent documentation skills
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated collaborative teamwork capabilities
-Working Conditions/Environment/Special Requirements
-Availability for 10% domestic and international travel
