We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to provide engineering support for a well established heavy indusry client of ours. The Process Engineer will mainly provide process engineering support for design engineering projects and facilities planning. Responsibilities
-Provide PE support for Design Engineering, Projects and Facilities Planning
-Support PEs with unit monitoring and optimization, including PMO review. Includes catalyst and run length management and energy monitoring and optimization.
-Assist or lead troubleshooting efforts for urgent plant issues
-Perform unit modelling / evaluations and complete calculations as required to solve unit constraints.
-Develop initial business cases for profitability or process improvement items. Lead these items as required. Work with LP planners and PEs to find and implement opportunities to optimize operations
-Provide senior level reviews on MOCs. Lead MOC’s and facilitate what if risk assessments.
-Support PEs as they progress URB action items. Assist and guide PEs in developing projects, mitigations, and solutions to remove their assigned threats.
-Ensure lab methods are in compliance with government regulations and industry standards (ECCC, CGSB, ASTM)
-Investigation and resolution of customer product complaints
-Support or lead troubleshooting of off-spec product, and resolve issues impacting the ability to certify product
-Maintain library of Product Specification Sheets
-Work closely with the Lab to ensure adherence to lab quality standards
-Implement and conduct regular auditing (internal and external) to ensure compliance, including the annual lab QA/QC audit
Qualifications
-7+ years of Process Engineering experience within chemical/petrochemical operations
-Bachelors degree in chemical engineering.
