Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall planning and scheduling activities on multiple projects, identifying critical paths including critical float path analysis and schedule variance analysis and risk analysis.
Capable of developing project plans and schedules based solely on project scope and with minimum direction and input.
Creating and maintaining routine schedules on a regular basis.
Monitor schedule deviation for assigned disciplines or specialties and advise the PM/PE team for their consideration.
Schedule resource loading and project SPI monitoring.
Assessing progress measurement and developing/updating progress curves for progress reporting.
Conducting recovery plans, contingency planning, and schedule compression techniques.
Liaising with Project Management on matters relating to planning and scheduling.
Integrating schedules for schedule portfolio management internally or with the client(s).
Manage information integration from engineers, subcontractors, owners, and others to create an integrated master schedule.
Mentoring and supporting more junior PC staff on planning and scheduling tasks.
Work with project management to set goals, objectives, and success factors and analyze project status.
Compile, review, analyze, and present large quantities of data.
Prepare complex reports leveraging Equinox’s Project Control system and Excel.
Create graphs including Gantt charts, activity network diagrams, time-scaled logic diagrams, and histograms.
Preparation of Earned Value/ Performance Reports.
Ideally brings or develops her/his own reporting and analysis tools to supplement current internal tools.
Monitor procedures and practices, thinking creatively and strategically to create improvements.
Provide subject matter expertise to end users on progress & monitoring tools.
Mentoring and supporting more junior PC staff on cost control tasks.
May perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess post-secondary Engineering, Finance or Accounting education, preferably related to Engineering or the Oil and Gas Industry. EPCM experience is a MUST-HAVE.
Expert skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
Expert skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Schedule risk analysis tools and experience (i.e., Monte Carlo analysis) are considered an asset.
PC Construction experience is not a requirement but would be considered an asset.
Able to monitor and supervise others in the team.
AACE or PMP designations would be preferable.
