Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager/Leader will be responsible for:
- Leading end-to-end project management for digital health initiatives. Developing detailed project plans for multiple, concurrent short- and long-term projects, ensuring timely completion of all artifacts and tasks in alignment with the overall project timeline.
- Developing, initiating, and maintaining all essential project documentation, including project charters, Terms of Reference, project plans, and creating and monitoring dashboards and Gantt charts. Ensuring adherence to project governance and industry best practices.
- Collaborating with business and technology teams to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics aligned with public health goals. Facilitating regular updates and feedback sessions with various stream-leads and vendors.
- Mobilizing and facilitating sessions of project teams to provide guidance and expertise in areas such as business process mapping, gap analyses, flow diagram development, quality indicator development, and change management.
- Managing vendor relationships, procurement processes, and contract compliance. Ensuring strict adherence to privacy, security, and interoperability standards (e.g., PHIPA, FHIR, HL7).
- Monitoring and reporting on project status, identifying and communicating potential delays, issues, and risks, and developing alternatives to mitigate impact on timelines.
- Utilizing presentation and facilitation skills to convey sophisticated concepts and processes into clear language for diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience:
- 7+ years experience leading end-to-end project management for digital health initiatives, including data integration platforms, and public health information systems.
- 7+ years experience collaborating with business and technology teams to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics.
- 7+ years experience mobilizing and facilitating project teams, providing guidance in business process mapping and improvement, gap analyses, flow diagrams, and change management.
- 7+ years experience in presentation and facilitation skills to convey sophisticated concepts into clear language.
- 7+ years experience developing, initiating, and maintaining all project documentation, including charters, project plans, dashboards, and Gantt charts.
- PMP certification or equivalent post-secondary education required.
- Proven experience managing technology projects, preferably in the public sector (Nice to Have).
Desirable Skills (Assets):
- Strong understanding of health systems and digital health standards.
- Experience with Agile, Lean, or hybrid project methodologies.
- Knowledge of, and expertise in, project management to plan, monitor, and evaluate department programs.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
