Project Manager for a contract in Calgary!! Looking for a senior IT Project Manager to work on various projects from planning through to implementation.

A Calgary based Energy Company.

What are the details for the role?

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for a number of software implementations and integration projects.

You will be working with numerous business units to establish clear business requirements for their projects and lead the budgeting and scheduling and resource requirements and procurement of required resources to meet the business’s needs. You will managing stakeholders, vendor relationships and be the liaison for IT. They will look to you to bring a collaborative style and the ability to leverage synergies and learning between projects

Skills the role requires:
•Ability to work with and coach multiple stakeholders who may be unfamiliar with IT projects and processes
•Ability to hold firm on requirements and needs while being understanding and diplomatic in addressing many different stakeholder priorities and concerns
•Background in integration and custom application delivery projects
•Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
•Ability to manage projects to a budget and schedule and ability to adapt to the companies project delivery framework
•Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and performance
•Demonstrated ability to lead and direct projects that are high-risk or have encountered significant setbacks
•Ability to complete the requisite project management tasks and deliverable s and understand how they align with department and organizational strategies
•Ability to provide strong governance at a detailed level, including requirements prioritization on an ongoing basis to manage scope and cost
•Skill in identifying the organizational change management risks of a project, specifically with encountering resistance from end users and developing coping strategies to mitigate those risks

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

•8-10 years of PM experience in a variety of projects
•Vendor management experience
•Experience working in a regulatory environment
•PMP certification from PMI institute or equivalent certification would be an asset
•Strong understanding of Change Management
