    We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a well established energy client of ours in the Vancouver area. The Project Manager will represent our client with external engineering contractors to lead projects through FEED engineering, detailed design, construction and commissioning. The Project Manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather input on critical project decisions. The role requires a technical knowledge of chemical processes and process equipment along with experience leading people as a Project Manager.

    Responsibilities

    •Project Managers are accountable for the outcome of all assigned projects.
    •Lead multi-disciplinary project teams, including cross departmental participants from the Construction, Operations, Maintenance, Reliability and Turnaround teams.
    •Develop project objectives for safety, schedule, cost and operability.
    •Work in conjunction with third party engineering to create and validate detailed design, cost estimates and workforce loaded schedules.
    •Coordinate review and approval of design deliverables, create documents summarizing information supporting projects and rationalizing decisions.
    •Regularly communicate project status to the project leadership and generate monthly project reports for integration into the plants portfolio reports, which includes monthly forecasts.
    •Request and manage the creation and changes to purchase orders and contracts.
    •Actively monitor and manage potential changes.
    •Meet all site-specific training and risk management requirements.

    Qualifications
    •Demonstrated commitment to personal and process safety.
    •Bachelor of Applied Science or Engineering degree is required.
    •Eligibility for registration with EGBC as a Professional Engineer is required.
    •10+ years of related project management experience on projects with value in excess of $500M across multiple phases including detailed design and construction.
    •Knowledge of refining facilities and integration of project work in those facilities is an asset.
    •Superior verbal and written communication skills.
    •Effective at solving problems and managing concurrent conflicting priorities.
    •Experience with design/construction of modular facilities is an asset.
    •Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is considered an asset.
