Our Calgary client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Quality Assurance Analyst to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis. The QA Analyst will join a team responsible for testing, documentation and verification of the organization's risk system.

-Analyze and create reports for bugs and defects
-Recommend fixes, determine issue severity/priority and draft test solutions
-Devise project test strategies and evaluate risk analysis results
-Design, implement and maintain automated testing frameworks
-Write and execute manual and automated functional, integration, system and regression tests
-Provide estimates on level of effort required for testing
-Escalate system processes and performance issues as needed
-Work and communicate effectively with QA team, developers and business partners
-Assist in application deployments, product upgrades and creating release plan documentation
-Maintain local development test environment and tools required for testing
-Provide second tier support for urgent production issues

Experience Required:
-5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance software testing, with a focus on automation
-Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices
-SDLC understanding including experience in Agile/SCRUM
-Experience in SQL, Unix, and Java/Groovy/Ruby
-Integration tool experience (like Jenkins)
-Excellent communication and presentation skills
-Analytical thinking and expert problem solving abilities
