Responsibilities
• Propose and implement Quality Assurance (QA) framework / testing strategy and approach for our Data pipelines
• Analyze testing requirements for our Data pipelines, including performance testing
• Create robust test case suites using a test automation framework
• Propose and implement test data creation tools and using them to generate test data
• Execute QA testing; verify and document test results
• Participate in defect process, ensuring defects are documented, tracked, and reported
• Produce and present automated testing-related reports, such as requirement-based coverage, testing progress and problem areas
• Analyze the impact of a change from a testing perspective, including time, cost, and risk
• Prepare testing estimates that incorporate all the activities required to effectively automate testing of data pipelines
• Maintain and adhere to the client's IT standards and guidelines for testing and test automation
• Ensure that the automation routines run on demand or on schedule
• Manually test functionality that cannot be automated
• Other activities and deliverables, as required
Qualifications
• A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in Data related projects, preferably Data Warehouse
• A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience in implementing QA testing framework and testing automation for Data Warehouse projects
• A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience in an Agile Scrum environment
• A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience in administration of QA Testing environments
Additional Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with industry standard testing tools (e.g., RightData, IcedQ)
• Demonstrated experience with implementing testing strategy when no tools are in place
• Demonstrated knowledge with IBM Data Stage and Qlik
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, assess and problem-solve, making sound decisions/recommendations
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently while meeting completion dates
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Demonstrated understanding of Resiliency requirements, such as Clustering, Failover and Disaster Recovery
