Randstad Engineering is seeking a Senior Corporate Quality Engineer on behalf of our Client, a globally-recognized tier one Automotive supplier with a unique specialization.

The basics:

• Location: Southwestern Ontario
• Compensation: $80,000-$85,000

What you will be doing:

• providing support to each plant for APQP
• problem solving and ensuring the implementation of the Company’s quality systems in line with IATF 16949
• Assisting in the development and implementation of Quality Systems including Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, Instructions, FMEA's, DOE’s and management system documents and procedures
• Supporting plants for pursuing resolution of internal and external quality issues
• Monitoring the gauge status at plant level.
• Reviewing RFQ/PO request for new gauges including gauge specifications, gauge design and methods, and GR&R approval/analysis
• Tracking the internal audit schedule and the completion at each plant
• Promoting the implementation and effective use of quality systems and techniques including management system documents and procedures
• Acting as the liaison, when required, between the customer and plant team to ensure that issues are resolved with urgency, mutual consent and satisfaction
• Training plant team members in quality systems and procedures
• Providing leadership to Quality Engineering group in the utilization of Quality Principles and sound problem solving tools including SPC and CAs.

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelors’ (or higher) degree in an engineering discipline or Technical College diploma (CET or similar)
• 5+ years experience in the automotive industry
• Quality Engineering designation ASQ CQE, CQM or equivalent
• Certified ISO/IATF Lead Auditor Certification (an asset)
• Knowledge of die casting processes (an asset)
• Six Sigma Green Belt Designation (a strong asset)
• Ability to travel globally 50% of the time
