Our client is undertaking the implementation of an SAP Customer Information System (CIS). This opportunity is a contract role up to 12 months in duration.

The Senior Tester is accountable for conducting multiple iterative phases of testing to ensure the final solution meets requirements for the assigned area of testing. Senior tester will be responsible for ensuring maximum effectiveness on testing efforts, leading end to end testing for assigned areas, leading creation of test cases/scenarios, and achieving required outcomes within specified timelines. Require a demonstrated background working as SAP Tester.

This position is required to:

• Coordinate planning, development and execution of UAT, integration and regression testing
• Write and executing test cases
• Mentoring business resources on SAP systems and test processes
• Coordinate different testers according to test plan
• Liaison with Test Manager and other project stakeholders to ensure delivery of comprehensive test results. Validation of testing on assigned test areas in alignment with project timelines.
• Work closely with business and IT teams to ensure quality deliverables
• Ensure all application services and PMO departmental policies and processes are followed.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Candidates with experience in SAP IS-U/CCS (SAP Utilities solutions) are preferred
• A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
• ISTQB certification considered an asset
• 10 years’ experience testing SAP ERP, ideally familiar with S/4HANA
• Tracking and reporting status and metrics to clients
• Mentoring of test team resources on SAP/S4 Hana testing
• Provide test estimates and contribute to ensure delivery on schedule with high quality
• Work with development teams to investigate and fix software bugs/defects based on the test results
• Develop and prioritize test coverage matrices to maximize testing efficiency
• Document test results and track defects to resolution in tracking system

Core Skills Required

• Ability to navigate, understand, and test complex integrated systems
• Experience planning, writing, and executing user acceptance, regression, integration, and end-to-end business process tests
• Fluent in test management best practices and experience managing test to requirements traceability
• Experience with software test management tools, such as Worksoft, JIRA, Zephyr or similar comprehensive test management software
• Broad software experience and exceptional ability to learn new business processes and software systems
• Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently

Preferred Skills

Preferred but not mandatory:
• Experience with testing CIS software
• Experience with automated testing tools
• Experience with a Power utility business
• Experience with / knowledge of Alberta Market Transactions (i.e.; SSC and TBF transactions)
• Experience testing CSOx controls
