Our client in the Burlington area, a Design/Build Contractor focused on Industrial Construction in the Water Industry, has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Senior Drafter to join their growing team! As a Senior CAD Designer will be mainly working with a team of designers, engineers and project managers utilizing 3D computer aided design tool – Inventor to create 3D models of complex structural & mechanical components and assemblies.

In this role, responsibilities would include:
•3D drafting in Inventor for industrial projects will be the main focus of the role
•2D drafting in AutoCAD
•Produce comprehensive drawing packages in timely manner
•Create shop drawings including linked Bills of Materials / Part Lists
•Assist in creation and management of numbering and naming schemes for drawings, documents, models, etc.
•Coordinate with clients, engineers, fabrication, and construction to meet fabrication and constructability requirements
•Mentorship of junior and intermediate employees

As a qualified candidate, you meet the following requirements:
•7+ years of drafting/design experience with structural steel
•High proficient use of Autodesk Inventor
•Proficient use of AutoCAD
•Post secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field
•Previous experience working with iLogic would be considered an asset
•Experience with using Vault / PDM software
