Responsibilities
• Lead projects from initiation to close out; stamping required.
• Provide detailed structural design calculations in accordance with current codes and standards.
• Use structural analysis software to model and design steel structures.
• Coordinate projects with internal company divisions.
• Manage, coach and train a team of design employees.
• Attend site visits and meetings related to ongoing projects for the general review of construction.
Qualifications
• Structural or Civil Engineering Degree (Bachelor's or Master's)
• 4-7 years of experience in a structural engineering consulting firm, with leadership experience.
• Licensed P.Eng in Ontario (in good standing) and strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code.
• Relevant experience with software such as AutoCAD and ETABS.
• Relevant experience with in steel, concrete, masonry and wood structure design.
