    Our client, located in downtown Toronto, helps high net worth individuals primarily in the Arts and Entertainment field, with complex US and Canadian and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance and advisory issues. Due to exciting business growth, we are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join the team.     Responsibilities
    •Obtain information (from clients, internal and external sources) required to prepare and file income tax returns. Perform calculations, complete required schedules, and organize the information for complex returns.
    •Accurately prepare client’s tax returns and schedules. Identify postmortem and other tax planning opportunities
    •Review complex tax returns
    •Review assessment notices and prepare adjustment requests, objection notices and Clearance Certificate requests for filing. Correspond with the CRA to ensure any requests for information are provided.
    •Manage, train and support junior staff
    •Projects as assigned by Managing Director


    Qualifications
    •Minimum 5 years of experience specializing in Canadian and/or US personal tax preparation.
    •Accounting or Business undergraduate degree with the CPA designation
    •Experience with Canada and U.S. tax preparation and cross-border income tax issues.
    •Familiarity with Canadian and US tax compliance
    •Ability to work in a busy and dynamic team environment.
    •Proven ability to apply attention to detail, research, and gain knowledge quickly.
    •Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
    •Ability to appropriately handle confidential material.
    •Ability to proactively resolve issues and improve processes.
    •Able to deal with ambiguity and re-prioritize tasks in response to unexpected changes and effectively manage change in fast-paced environment.
