Our Burnaby client, a prominent member of the health sector, is seeking to hire a Senior Wireless Network Analyst on a long term contract with a strong probability of multiple extensions. What will you do?
As a Senior Wireless Network Analyst with our Burnaby client, you will:
• Design/implement high speed network for a large, varied set of clinical and administrative requirements.
• Conduct site assessments / audits of fibre/copper cabling, switching, racking, powering and supporting infrastructure.
• Prepare assessment, design, implementation, and operational support documentation for wireless/wired data networks.
• Provide technical guidance / assistance to the Network resource(s) who will be implementing the new network.
• Assist with mapping and pre-configuration of network switches.
• Assist with preparation and installation of wireless (WiFi) / data network infrastructure: switching, routing and access control infrastructure.
• Develop an understanding of the current Health Care standards related to the network equipment installation / configuration / operations.
• Provide network implementation / production cutover services outside of normal business hours.
• Perform wireless site survey with the use of Ekahau Site Survey tool and interpret results.
• Provide recommendations and design guidance for wireless access point placement.
• Configure and troubleshoot issues with Cisco Wireless LAN controller.

How do you qualify?
To qualify for the Senior Wireless Network Analyst role with our Burnaby client, you must have:
• A university degree/technical diploma in a program (Communications Technology) plus related vendor network certifications.
• 8+ years’ recent wired and wireless data network design, estimate preparation, planning, site assessment, and implementation experience.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with current standards and industry best practices.
• Experience conducting site assessments / audits of horizontal cable pathways at specific sites.
• Extensive experience with enterprise-grade Cisco / Aruba wireless network hardware.
• Extensive experience with enterprise-grade Cisco or HP data networking hardware.
• Experience in designing and implementing voice grade wireless networks.
• Experience implementing public facing guest networks.
