    Our client is developing a strong line of new products for the HVAC market which requires a dedicated team. To do this we are adding a Service Manager position which will allow the candidate to be an integral part of the core team. The successful candidate will be focused on setting up the support needed for the products, from testing in-house, to assisting with startup/commissioning, to aftermarket technical support.

    The client is a leading manufacturer of large high-temperature heat pumps for the commercial and industrial Canadian and US markets. the air source high-temperature heat pumps are designed for the rapidly expanding electrification HVAC market. In addition, we are manufacturing CO2 heat pumps for the domestic hot water market. The company is investing heavily in its growth, expanding our production facilities, including climate chambers for the development and testing of new products.

    Responsibilities
    Position Description
    •Ensuring that the equipment to the field is supported properly
    •Assist with running and testing chillers and heat pumps in our factory test stations
    •Evaluating service reps for various sales regions
    •Develop and provide training programs for customer service tech at Transom facility and in the field
    •Go to site to do factory startup and commissioning of newly installed equipment
    •Train local service tech on startup and commissioning of transom equipment
    •Provide technical support for field technicians over the phone or emails
    •Troubleshoot the equipment and the controls
    •Generate technical service bulletins
    •Coordinate service parts
    •Provide constant feedback of service issues and inquiries to the engineering and production teams
    •Work together with engineering and production in developing new products and refining existing ones.
    •Develops working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, and ensures service department adheres to all regulations
    •Displays extensive working knowledge of industry standards and practices, including product details and company services offered


    Qualifications
    Experience:
    •Service manager: 5 years (required)
    •Experience with commercial Chillers and other refrigeration-based HVAC equipment
    •Detailed technical knowledge of refrigeration systems
    •Being able to troubleshoot equipment
    •Working with controllers and instrumentation
    •Strong communication and interpersonal skills
