We are currently recruiting for a Settlements Officer for a 9-month contract with a top 5 bank in downtown Edmonton. This role has a potential to convert to a permanent opportunity!

Pay rate: $17.34/hr
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 6:00 pm rotating shifts (potential Saturday training)

As a Settlements Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:
- Data entry, clerical duties, investigations and balancing functions.
- Contact customers over the phone
- Update securities and various reports
- Create and distribute follow up letters to solicitors
- Handle discharge statements, faxes, package preparation
- Complete system updates

- Gain experience within a leading Canadian bank in Downtown Edmonton
- Long term contract
- Learn about back end financial functions that service all of western Canada
- Earn a competitive pay rate
- High possibility for contract extension or converting to permanent

- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Attention to details
- Excellent communication skills
- Recent Graduate or Enrolled in MBA Program
- 1 year Consumer Mortgage experience
- 1 year data entry
- 1 years MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Internet Explorer)
- Previous experience in a filing clerk/clerical/administrative role

Nice to have:
- Banking experience
- 1 year Banking experience across Mortgage, Line of Credit and Loan products
