Responsibilities
•Lead end to end delivery of the SharePoint migration project, from discovery and planning through deployment and stabilization
•Define scope, schedule, milestones, and resource requirements, and maintain the project plan
•Coordinate cross functional teams including SharePoint admins, M365 engineers, security, records management, and business stakeholders
•Oversee site inventory, content assessment, and migration strategy (archiving, restructuring, or transforming content as needed)
•Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests, ensuring timely resolution and clear escalation paths
•Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and governance policies, including permissions, data classification, and retention rules
•Drive stakeholder communication, status reporting, and executive updates
•Support testing activities such as pilot migrations, validation, and user acceptance testing
•Plan and coordinate cutover activities and post migration support
•Work with training and change management teams to support user adoption and documentation
Qualifications
•Proven experience managing SharePoint 2016 to SharePoint Online or similar Microsoft 365 migration projects
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online architecture, and content/site migration approaches
•Demonstrated ability to manage full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder reporting
•Experience coordinating technical teams, business users, and vendors in enterprise environments
•Familiarity with migration tools and methodologies (for example ShareGate, Microsoft Migration Manager, or similar)
•Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills in remote delivery settings
•Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches
•PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is an asset
•Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and dependencies in a structured, detail oriented manner
