Our client is looking someone with a keen knowledge of logistics and drive facilitation, ideally with flat bed steel experience.Advantages- Modified Afternoon shift- $60000 - $65000 - Company paid comprehensive group benefits plan, including medical, dental, vision, and lifeinsurance- Great environment, and company culture Responsibilities•Supervise a fleet of 10 drivers both AZ and DZ.•Collect, verify and file previous day driver logs, receivers and shipments•Log all Transportation and Shipping activities in excel spreadsheet•Communicate with drivers, sales and production•Direct, coordinate and organize the loading and receiving bays•Back up for dispatcher when required (planning the daily routes for the trucks)•Assist Shipping manager in daily duties•Other duties in shipping department as assignedQualifications•Great oral and verbal communicator•Must be well organized•Working well under pressure•Critical problem-solving skills is an asset•Intermediate MS Excel•Previous experience in Transportation, working with and managing drivers.•Previous experience in Steel Industry is an asset•Knowledge of Southern Ontario geography•Must be able to work flexible day time hours•Previous experience as dispatch will be consideredSummaryAdditionally, if you feel this Brampton based position is not the right job for you, but know of someone that would be a great fit – pass them along!
