Responsibilities
As a Shipping Coordinator, your responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Initiate and drive conversations to ensure the customer is aware of what products, shipping and services we provide and identify what the best options they have available to them
- Respond to telephone calls from customers, and sales staff
- Process sales orders through the ERP systems, check with warehouse for availability and set up drivers for routes ( both national and international)
- Process time sensitive sales orders with a high level of prioritization, professionalism and accuracy
- Follow up with customers on delivery and feedbacks
- Conduct Accounts Payable and Receivable duties for the orders
- Assist with inventory management
- Deal with shipping and freight fees structure with the customers
- Stay within the shipping deadlines for the order delivery for smooth customer service/experience
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders for successful order delivery
- Assist drivers with cross border paperwork for routes of shipping
- Perform any miscellaneous tasks as per necessary
Qualifications
As a Shipping Coordinator, you must quality:
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Min of 2-3 years of logistics/shipping experience with freight understanding
- A valid driver's license : Location is Abbotsford
- Ability to stay proactive in a fast paced environment
- Experience in using different ERP, database systems , MS Office
- High ability to stay organized and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to deal with various vendors
