Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Co-ordinates, assigns and reviews the daily work of Warehouse Associates engaged in picking and shipping duties.
- Periodically determines method of shipment and arranges shipping; prepares bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents manually or by computer.
- Maintains computerized record-keeping systems.
- Assists with investigations for missing items and undelivered shipments.
- Packs orders and processes orders for shipment.
- Calls customers to notify and schedule pick-up times.
- Identifies new processes that the Warehouse team can use to increase efficiency.
- Maintains proper analysis of workload and allocation of manpower in the shipping area.
- Communicates with couriers and freight companies for pickup and delivery information.
- Responds to all inquiries (email, phone calls, etc.) regarding shipping and shipments in a timely manner.
- Operates order picking devices and other assistive lifting devices (i.e., pallet jack, picking carts)
- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with Company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Performs any other duties, as assigned, or required.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of related warehouse experience and customer service.
- Working knowledge of ERPs, WMS and RFSmart preferred (JDE, NETSUITE, P21 etc..)
- Ability to understand, manage and lead internal processes.
- Advanced computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.).
- Ability to delegate, train and manage performance and productivity standards related to shipping processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to mentor others and lead by example.
- Possesses a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to adapt and act as a change manager for new processes and procedures.
- Ability to “think on your feet” and assist in solving problems and resolving conflict.
- Ability to exchange straightforward information primarily within the Company, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
- A demonstrated alignment with company values; customers first, ownership/accountability, respect, performance excellence, integrity, and innovation.
