Are you an experienced Manufacturing professional with experience in the food industry? Are you seeking an opportunity to hone your management skills in a leadership position with one of the world’s biggest chocolate producers?

Randstad Engineering is seeking a Site Operations Manager on behalf of our Client, a world-class confectionery manufacturer with decades of industry presence.

The incumbent Candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing and controlling all activities on site (production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities) in order to realize short, medium, and long-term production and operational goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing management support and direction of all plant operations (for production, H&S, quality, maintenance and shipping.)
• Ensuring that manufacturing objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner (formulation of long and short-term planning).
• Propose and manage the operations budget while ensuring effective use of funds.
• Translate and adapt corporate policies and programs (BRC, HACCP, GMP, CI, etc.) into concrete production plans and production-related schemes for the site.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline/improve processes, improve productivity, safety and quality while reducing cost (including scrap) where possible.
• Control and manage cost for labor overtime and repair expenses.
• Achieve optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet objectives.
• Act as liaison between departments and functions and to inform personnel of decisions, policies, and all matters that affect them directly.
• Establish, implement, and maintain production standards.
• Assure that all supervised activities are in compliance with rules and regulations such as safety, health, hygiene, environmental requirements and technical rules and regulations.
• Act as a representative of the organization to relevant institutions, authorities, the local community, and sometimes the customer.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in Food manufacturing or closely related industry.
• 5-10 years of experience managing a significant segment of a large manufacturer or the entire operation of a smaller manufacturer.
• Strong Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
• Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
