What you’ll be doing?
As a Software Developer with our Burnaby client, you will:
• Work with the Manager, Applications, architects and team members to design and implement new module-level solutions in all areas of the applications, and maintain existing solutions, critical to our operations.
• Implement highly scalable/available software, develop secure code and adhere to security best-practices.
• Work according to documented SDLC: providing feedback/input and supporting automation tasks.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts and other project team members to implement module-level solutions, clarifying details and determining appropriate solution design.
• Create/update appropriate software design and architecture documents.
• Ensure implementation details and source code are sufficiently documented, and manage/maintain TFS user stories, tasks, etc.
• Perform unit testing of developed components, implement automated unit tests, regression test integrated components.
• Execute performance tests, and optimize solutions as required.
• Plan for and execute solution deployments and support non-production environments for mission critical applications.
• Prototype with new technologies, libraries, design patterns, emerging trends in software design and development.

How do you qualify?
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ programming experience with proven experience developing highly scalable and highly available application-level solutions.
• 5+ years’ experience with C#.NET.
• 3-5 years’ web development experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience with SQL Server (queries and stored procedures, query tuning and solving performance issues).
• 3-5 years’ REST and SOAP development experience.
• 2-3 years’ experience with JavaScript frameworks (Angular preferred).
• 2-3 years’ experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
• 1-2 years’ experience with asp.NET Web API (version 2 preferred).
• 1-2 years’ experience with IdentityServer3/Oauth.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent oral and written communication skills.

What additional experience do you bring?
• Experience with Azure DevOps and build automation or SVN an asset.
• Healthcare related experience (HL7, SNOMED, Health Information Exchange) an asset.
• Experience with AIX and Cache Database/Object Script an asset.
