Our Burnaby client, a prominent member of the healthcare sector, is seeking to hire a Software Engineer (C# .NET), on a permanent full-time basis. What will you do?
As a Software Engineer with our Burnaby client, you will:
• Work closely with management, development teams and external vendors to design and implement new module-level solutions for applications and maintain existing solutions.
• Implement highly scalable and available software.
• Follow guidelines to develop secure code and adhere to security best practices.
• Provide timely updates, escalate issues, and keep work-items up to date.
• Provide feedback/input into SDLC and support automation of SDLC tasks.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, external development vendors and other project team members to implement module-level solutions, clarifying details and determining appropriate solution design.
• Create/update software design and architecture documents, ensure implementation details and source code are sufficiently documented, and manage/maintain TFS user stories, tasks, etc.
• Perform unit testing of developed components, implement automated unit tests, regression test integrated components.
• Execute performance tests, and optimize solutions.
• Plan/execute solution deployments and support production environments for mission critical applications.
• Provide customer focused support, and troubleshoot/resolve problems/issues.
• Work with team to find solutions to critical production issues.
• Research new technologies, libraries, design patterns, emerging trends in software design and development.

How do you qualify?
To qualify for the Software Engineer role with our Burnaby client, you must have:
• 5+ years’ experience with C#.
• 3-5 years’ development experience.
• 3-5 years’ experience with SQL Server.
• 3-5 years’ experience with REST and SOAP development.
• 2-3 years’ experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
• 1-2 years’ experience with JavaScript frameworks (Angular preferred).
• 1-2 years’ experience with asp.NET Web API (version 2 preferred).
• Experience with .NET.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent experience.

What additional experience do you bring?

• Healthcare related experience.
• Experience with Biztalk.
• Experience with SQL Performance tuning.
• Experience with Legacy system support.
• Experience with TFS/VST/GIT and build automation.
