Responsibilities
What you’ll do
 Develop and review software requirements, build design documents, write
programs, and package, test, configure, and deploy software efficiently.
 Prioritize design, code, and maintain applications with a focus on high product
availability, optimal performance, and security.
 Actively participates in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle, and
the monthly continuous delivery activities including planning, developing, testing,
reviews, and demonstrations.
 Perform impact assessment, resolutions and root cause analysis on the source
of identified bugs and design issues in the applications proficiently.
 Perform debugging and unit testing of code before turning it over to Quality
Assurance.
 Work with clients, product managers, analysts, architects, and engineers to plan,
design, develop, test, and implement information technology solutions and fixes
collaboratively.
 Provide outstanding technical support to client services to determine resolutions
and improvements for client issues.
 Review and build system, software, and functional design specifications.

Qualifications
What you’ll bring
 University Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
 5+ years in a backend development role
 Outstanding knowledge of Python, Core Java and Spring Boot
 Strong experience with REST API and web services

 Knowledgeable with RDBMS and Big data database systems such as SQL,
Postgres and Hadoop.
 Ability to read code in other languages and reverse engineer products proficiently
 Experience with Application Program Interfaces (APIs), Messaging Queues.
 Familiar with the Agile software development methodologies
 Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
 Insurance knowledge an asset-Ability to foundationally understand complex

 Outstanding teammate
 Experience with Cloud services is an asset.
