Our Client in the Public Transit Sector is looking for a Solutions Architect on a 8 month contract, with strong possibility of extension.

•Extensive experience in solutions architecture and design especially in finance/payments field
•Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and experience working with Agile methodologies.
•Familiarity with payment industry standards, such as PCI-DSS, and security protocols.
•Knowledge of payment gateway integration, payment methods (e.g. credit cards, direct debit, ACH), and settlement systems.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
•Ability to be proactive, work independently and as part of a team, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
•Experience with Cloud IaaS and PaaS (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
•Familiarity with accessibility standards (AODA) would be an asset
Education / Certification:
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
•TOGAF certification an asset
•Public Cloud Certification (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is an asset
•Azure/Microsoft certification an asset
•Agile or Lean certifications an asset

Design and develop architecture for enterprise solutions that align with business goals and requirements.
•Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and provide technical guidance on solutions design.
•Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools and systems to improve solution design and architecture.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, developers, to ensure solutions are implemented efficiently and effectively.
•Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior architects and developers.
•Participate in presenting solutions to potential stake holders & client
•Create and maintain architecture controls, review process, and technology inventories
•Support architecture review board process & development of standards, best practices and templates and ensure the adherence during projects implementations
•Develop architecture roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio including current, interim & target state (as defined by the solutions architecture).
•Lead the preparation of detailed solution architectural specifications based on a clear understanding of the Payments Technology and architecture roadmaps
•Review solution architectures and detailed designs to ensure they comply with industry standards and policies.
