Responsibilities
Support customers throughout the process of opening an account with the company
Collect the essential data required for the onboarding process for new customers
Prepare all documents related to the opening of accounts for signature by the client, including documents for the financial company, the Canada Revenue Agency and the custodian
Ensure that account portfolio information is set up, updated and validated in accounting and internal systems
Record and update customer contact information and other related information in the appropriate customer relationship management system
Provide business support for applications related to updating firm data
Liaise with compliance officers, operations staff and portfolio administration staff
Participate in or lead the testing and implementation of operational improvements and special projects
Qualifications
Degree in business administration, commerce or relevant experience in portfolio administration
Enrolling in the program or obtaining the IFIC designation or the CSC designation, an asset
Previous experience in the financial services industry
General knowledge of the investment industry and financial markets
Results orientation, ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
Meticulous, strong analytical skills and good work methodology
Strong interest in technology and willingness to work with multiple systems
Ability to work independently, but also to be a team player
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Word Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook software
Excellent ability to communicate orally and in writing in French; functional command of English
