    Our client is seeking a Middleware Administrator for contract opportunities.

    The Position: Specialist, Middleware Services
    The Role: Middleware Administrator

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    To provide application support for multiple applications within BI&A (Middleware) including Websphere MQ (messaging) and NTTData Unikix (mainframe emulation) and other middleware products including APIC, ITX, SVN, AWS MQ, LRS (PageCenterX, VPSX)
    Terminal Emulation (Rumba, Flynet, HOD) and Operational Decision Manager and others
    Participate in providing Capital Project support for Middleware and cross-functional applications
    Middleware product installation, configuration and maintenance.
    Deploy, administer, support and maintain middleware applications to enable communication between client cross-functional applications on diverse platforms with varying interfaces.
    Monitor application health and availability checks for all BI&A (Middleware) applications, taking corrective actions to maintain health, availability and maintain capacity
    Participate in Business Continuity services for Disaster Recovery
    Provide real time problem determination for all dependent business applications. Analyze dumps, traces, performance and logs in order to determine root cause of specific problems;
    Ensure BI&A (Middleware) contracts are current
    Perform restores for Business Partners as required;
    Liaison with Business Partners and vendor support as required;
    Participate in security threats remediation for middleware products.
    Participates in and provide cross-training with other members of BI&A (Middleware) Team.
    Participate in providing 24x7x365 Middleware system support for cross-functional applications.

    The Work Products:
    IBM MQ, NTT Unikix, APIC, ITX, Flynet, HOD, Rumba, ODM, SVN, AWS MQ.

    Advantages
    Experience supporting middleware products like IBM MQ Series, NTT Emulation software,Unix.
    Experience supporting major Linux/Unix business applications would be an asset;
    Experience with a variety of application or technical applications (certifications or equivalent experience is desirable);
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
    Strong written and oral skills to respond to internal and external requests;
    Good organizational and planning skills, results oriented;
    Excellent customer services skills, communications, teamwork and follow-up skills.

    Responsibilities
    Requires intermediate technical understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows, with the ability
    to further develop those skills;




    Qualifications

    University degree, College or Technical diploma in relevant Information Technology major or equivalent experience.
