Responsibilities
- Optimize/set up a system for tracking Credit sales tax
- Creation of a process (Implementation) for tracking sales tax, taking into the client's account systems.
- Analyze pros/cons of making the Section 150 election (timing, repercussions, impact on the holding company and other financials)
- Overall tax efficiency planning relating to Sales Tax
- Train the team to properly complete all SLFI CRA filing requirements (ex: GST111 Form, Special Attribution Method formula and calculations, etc.)
- Provide SOP documentation of the above filing requirements
Qualifications
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent degree.
- You have 5+ years of experience in Tax, in advisory or in-house role.
- Excellent knowledge of Sales tax, accounting principles and legal principles.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
