Our client is looking for a SR. Data Scientist to join their team. This is a permanent role with the ability to work 100% remote from your home.
To be successful you must have at least 5+ years experience as a Data Scientist with a strong track record of performing data analysis using SQL, Python or R. You must also have experience conducting exploratory data analysis, develop machine models to support and enhance products, prototype and build machine learning pipelines that train the models, as well as build tools and metrics to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

You will also develop and test hypotheses, provide insights based on the results of statistical analyses and determine the best algorithms to apply to the data, including machine learning tools.

PHD in Statistics, Computer Science, Math, Physical Science or related field and or experience
5+ years experience performing advanced data analysis using SQL, Python, R or other equivalent languages.
5+ years of industrial experience in related roles, solving complex problems including machine learning applications
Excellent experience with SQL, Relational data modeling and data architecture
Experience writing production quality code using knowledge of data structures and algorithms with Python or similar
Experience designing, coding, testing a large code base and using software development best practices.
Experience working with Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Kinesis, Kafka an asset
Machine learning experience including developing machine learning algorithms.
Experience with AWS
Experience with Looker or a similar BI platforms
Experience in MarTech, AdTech, or EdTech space ideal
Experience with marketing technology products (interactive web content, web browsing tracking, etc…) and related metrics and analytics a strong asset
Background in Info Retrieval, NLP or NLU a bonus
Previous experience building production-ready recommender systems
